FAQs

What is this again?
This is a chance for parents and guardians to drop off their loved ones and have two hours to themselves.
While the adults are away the kids get to connect with other kids, play games, do a craft, eat dinner, and encounter joy.

Who can come?
Potty-trained children in Pre-K through 5th grade.

Camp Goober is at a church. Will there be religious teaching?
No. This time is just for fun. Families of any religious affiliation or beliefs, or lack thereof, are welcome.

Why do you do this?
A good night off means happy parents, happy kids, and healthy families. Here at Pasadena Covenant Church, we want to encourage healthy families and show love for our community in a meaningful way.

How much does this childcare service cost?
We ask for a $10 donation to help with food. No pressure though - no one will check.
If you'd like to pay it forward, we will also be taking clothing donations (coats, jackets, gloves, beanies, socks) for our friends at Friends In Deed.

This event is pretty cheap... who, exactly, will be watching my kids?
At Pasadena Covenant Church, we take caring for our children seriously. We have a strict code of conduct for all adult and youth helpers at any event. We interview and legally screen all volunteers. We ensure a safe volunteer-child ratio.
